Dee Why Central – Upgrade to access paths and car park

Project Scope

The works include provision if five DDA Compliance accessible parking spaces in the car park, install a new bicycle rack to allow for 12 bicycles and line mark to allow for motorcycle parking, upgrade the existing footpath adjoining the car park to the footpath to allow for better accessibility, provide a retaining structure to allow safe access for pedestrian and provide an elevated garden bed, install tactile and handrails to provide safe access to visually impaired people.

Completed Works

• Dedicated Parking for disabled people with wheelchair access and connectivity with existing footpaths and bus stops.
• Modified access ramps with tactile to guide visually impaired people for safe crossings
• Dedicated Bicycle racks for the user to park and access nearby public transport
• Safe access to the car park during night time by providing additional lights
• Handrails for safe access
• Improved drainage system
